This limited edition piece comprises of a 5 colour screen print over two wood panels. The top panel features a hand painted laser cut skull which juts out from the base, the mouth of the cassette/skull spits out real audio tape! A throwback from beyond the audio grave!
Back in the day, anyone who listened to cassette tapes would inevitably have experienced a cherished recording that was chewed up by their cassette players. It wasn't always an easy task to rescue a tape that had undergone this, so perhaps that's why cassettes died out, or have they?
Luke is an artist, illustrator and screen printer born and raised in London now based in Brighton. In his early years he developed a passion for drawing and showing an aptitude for art he focussed most of his energy in that subject at school. He has spent his years since, studying and working in various areas of the visual arts. He studied 3D design at Barnet College and has also trained and worked in Animation, Photography, Graphic Design and Screen Printing.
